This is your official invitation to come out and enjoy a day of fun and excitement at the 2nd Annual Transylvania County K-9 Challenge!!! Whether you participate or just come out to watch the competition, it will be a great opportunity to enjoy the fall weather and a fun day outdoors in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. Any one and any dog can participate. We are excited to establish a fun and competitive event to support our local law enforcement. If you prefer to just watch, admission is free. Food and refreshments will be sold on premises, and live music will be free for your enjoyment. Prizes and T-shirts will be awarded for the fastest times in each category. For safety concerns, there will be checkpoints along the course, and a veterinarian will be available to care for the dogs.
What is the Transylvania County K-9 Challenge? It is the first annual charity event to raise money for the Transylvania County Sheriff Office K-9 Units. [Please consider making a donation here.] It is a challenge for you and your dog. If you like agility and a challenge, this is your event. We’ve set up a course in beautiful Transylvania County in western North Carolina. Any one and any dog can do it, but be forewarned, this is not your ordinary course! It’s one with attitude… not for the faint of heart! You and your dog participate as a team. You may run or walk the course, and each obstacle will have a bypass option if you need it.
