Fondo Cycling Circuit – Fredericksburg

Situated midway between Washington D.C. and Richmond along the I-95 corridor, you’ll never run out of things to do in Fredericksburg. From visiting battlefields, museums and George Washington’s boyhood home to exploring the historic downtown with its brick sidewalks, one-of-a-kind restaurants, art galleries, ghost tours, beautiful private homes and numerous specialty, craft and antique shops in restored 18th- and 19th-century buildings. The event starts and finishes in downtown’s Old Mill Park on the banks of the Rappahannock River and features gently rolling hills throughout Stafford and Spotsylvania counties and past Fredericksburg & Spotsylvania National Military Park, marking the spot of four bloody Civil War battles.

Fondo Cycling Circuit – Akron

The Northeast Ohio city of Akron is the 4th stop in this year’s FCCUSA. It’s a region well known to cyclists, history buffs, foodies, music aficionados, nature lovers, sports fans and art enthusiasts. Positioned within a day’s drive of half of the nation’s population, Akron will attract cyclists from nearby Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Detroit and other large regional markets.

All event activities are held at Lock 3 in downtown, site of Akron’s biggest festivals and community events. During the ride you’ll experience the colorful scenic river valleys of the Cuyahoga and Tuscarawas and pass the beautifully preserved Ohio and Erie Canalway. Expect a few challenging hills to elevate your heart rate but expect some nice descents too!
